Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated September 2026. How to stop paying, what happens to your data when you do, when money comes back, and how long a refund takes.
This policy is part of the Terms & Conditions. It covers how to stop paying for SlayTab, when money comes back, and how long that takes. The short version: you can stop at any time in one click, you keep what you have already paid for, and if we have taken money we should not have, we return it without argument.
1. Cancelling
- There is nothing to phone or email. If your plan renews automatically, turn that off under Billing in your account. If it does not renew automatically, there is nothing to cancel — simply do not pay again.
- Cancelling is not the same as stopping today. Your plan runs to the end of the period you have already paid for and stops there. We do not end it early, because you bought that time.
- You can also ask us to forget your saved card, which stops any future payment as well.
- There is no cancellation fee, no notice period, and no minimum term.
2. What happens to your data when you stop
- Nothing you have saved is deleted by a plan ending. The account moves to the Free plan and keeps working within its limits; the AI assistant is what switches off.
- If you are over a Free limit, nothing is removed. The account simply cannot add more until it is back under, and everything stays readable.
- Anything over a limit becomes editable again the moment you subscribe, with nothing to restore.
- To delete the account and its contents entirely, see the Privacy Policy.
3. Refunds we give without being asked twice
Write to support@slaytab.com with the invoice number. In each of these cases the payment is returned in full:
- You were charged more than once for the same period. Duplicate charges are refunded in full, including ones caused by pressing a button twice.
- You were charged after cancelling. Any payment taken after automatic renewal was switched off is returned.
- You paid and did not get what you paid for. If a payment succeeded but the plan was not applied to your account, or a feature you paid for was unavailable for a substantial part of the period.
- You did not authorise it. Tell us and we will refund and revoke the card, whatever the timing.
4. Changing your mind
- Within 7 days of a payment, ask and we will refund it. No reason needed. The plan reverts to Free at that point rather than running on.
- After 7 days we do not refund part of a period. The plan continues to the date it is paid to, and switching off automatic renewal stops anything further.
- Assistant tokens you have already spent are not refundable, because the cost of them has already been paid to the model provider on your behalf. Unspent purchased tokens are.
5. Free trials
- A trial takes no payment and needs no card, so there is nothing to refund and nothing to cancel. If you do nothing, it simply ends.
- Paying while a trial is running does not shorten it — the period you buy starts when the trial ends.
6. How a refund reaches you
- Refunds go back to the card or method the payment came from. We cannot send one anywhere else.
- Payments are processed by Razorpay, and refunds are issued through them. Once we approve one, Razorpay typically returns the money in 5 to 10 working days, depending on your bank. We do not control that timing.
- A refund is issued in the currency you were charged in. Where your bank converted the payment, the amount you receive back can differ slightly because the exchange rate has moved — that difference is your bank's, not a deduction by us.
- We will confirm by email when the refund has been issued, and a credit note appears with your invoices.
7. Failed payments
- If an automatic payment is declined we try again a small number of times over the following fortnight and tell you each time. Nothing is lost while that is happening.
- If all of those fail, the account moves to Free. No fee is charged for a failed payment.
8. Prices and taxes
- A price change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
- Where tax is added at checkout it is refunded with the payment.
9. If you disagree with a decision
Write to support@slaytab.com and say so plainly. We will give you a person and a reason rather than a form. If we still cannot agree, nothing here takes away any right you have under the consumer law that applies where you live.
